Dr. William A. Jiranek specializes in treating arthritis of the hip and knee and the early treatment of hip and knee disorder. He also focuses on minimally invasive and computer-assisted surgical practices.

Professional achievements

In 2003, Dr. Jiranek was elected to the American Orthopaedic Association, and in 2002, he was elected to the Hip Society. Also in 2002, he established the ACGME Accredited Adult Reconstruction Fellowship and was the section editor for Orthopaedic Knowledge Online.

Research interests

Dr. Jiranek’s research focuses on tissue-guided restoration of articular cartilage of the knee, joint infections and the immune response to biomaterials.
