Dear colleagues,

The 11th International Symposium on Sj?gren’s Syndrome will take place in Athens, Greece, from 28th of September until 1st of October 2011.

Sjögren’s syndrome affects 0.5% of the general population ranking among systemic autoimmune rheumatic diseases in the second position after rheumatoid arthritis. In the recent years, several aspects of clinical presentation and pathogenesis of the disorder have been explored, leading to the development of new concepts for the disease and its treatment. Along with these lines, the international scientific community has put considerable and successful efforts to create classification and diagnostic criteria, to understand the clinical outcome of patients and to define prognostic indices, associated with lymphoproliferatine disease and poor survival.

Discuss the most recent scientific contributions in clinical and pathogenetic aspects of the disease,

Educate physicians and basic scientists willing to work with the disease, and

To provide a forum for ideas exchange and potential collaboration.
